Holiday disappointment

I wasn't able to go to the Samhuinn celebration after all, thanks to (ironically) Mother Nature. That one day it ended up raining cats and dogs. While normally this wouldn't have deterred me, currently I'm still on crutches, so I had no extra hands with which to hold an umbrella. Granted, getting a little wet isn't so bad, unless of course you do so while the temps are in the 30s F, plus let's not forget the slippery mud and other surfaces I'd be hobbling over. So, between the rain, freezing cold, and risk of slipping and injuring myself even further, I had to make the disappointing decision to not go to the Awen Center to celebrate the holiday

I discover I'm a Druid

During the summer of 2023 I started reading a fictional book series called the Chronicles of an Urban Druid by Auburn Tempest and Michael Anderle. Even though the stories were fictional, and rather enjoyable I might add, there was something about them that struck a cord. The descriptions of what the druids did, how they lived, how they thought... I realized that I had been doing things very similarly since I was a child. I started to wonder, was I a druid and had never known it?
